Overall this book aims to address the dramatic issue of the acceleration of extinction of species on Earth as the result of human intrusion. In its unique format, it navigates surrounding concepts of biodiversity: from meanings and threats to its implications for humanity and what should be tried to preserve the diversity of life on Earth for current and future generations. Recently released, the book is making its market entry in Asia-Pacific and Europe.
About the Author: Sylvain Richer de Forges is a French environmental scientist, an author and a corporate sustainability specialist. He has published numerous articles on sustainability topics in platforms covering the Asia Pacific region. He is also the founder of the Biodiversity Portal of Singapore programme.
About the Guest Speaker: Professor Peter Ng is an eminent freshwater field biologist. He is currently the director of both the Raffles Museum of Biodiversity Research and the Tropical Marine Science Institute. He has authored and edited numerous guidebooks for over two decades, most recently the Singapore Biodiversity: An Encyclopedia of the Natural Environment.
About the Moderator: Evelyn Wong is an independent consultant and writer, with over 35 years of experience as researcher, writer, educator, director and consultant in industrial relations, international relations, leadership and sustainable development. She has authored and edited publications on labour issues and corporate social responsibility.
