Museum Workshop Part I (RI)

Museum workshops are part of RMBR’s educational programme. The workshop consists of a Public Gallery tour and a hands-on practical using Museum’s specimens, lasting about three hours. Students from Raffles Institution was in RMBR on 31 March to 1 April 2008 for the workshop, and the following was their experience here!

Oi Yee explaining the steps in preserving a crab specimen for display, in which the students did one of their own.

They also had a chance to make a quail egg specimen. Insert shows how the egg contents are removed.

Studious students trying to ‘fix’ their crickets.
