In living your passion, you will find your purpose – a talk by Prof Leo Tan (17 October 2012)

Abstract:We can use the past (including extinct species) to learn about the present and prepare for the future. In this opening session of our inspirational speaker series, be inspired by Professor Leo Tan, who has had years of experience holding leadership positions in teacher education, university administration and public service. He will share with you how in living your passion, you will, in that process, find your purpose in life. In short, dare to live your dreams!

The Speaker:

Professor Leo Tan is President and Fellow of Singapore National Academy of Science.  He is also Singapore Governor to the Asia-Europe Foundation. As the Director (Special Projects), Faculty of Science, National University of Singapore (NUS), Prof Tan successfully championed the restoration of the 160-year old Raffles Museum Natural History Collection.  Under his leadership, a total of $56 million was raised for the building of the new National Museum of Natural History at NUS. The museum, slated to open in 2014, will house three of the largest dinosaur skeletons (diplodocid sauropods), believed to be the most complete and articulated fossils discovered in the past century.

All are Welcome!

Refreshments will be served after the talk.
