Conservation Assessment of Oriental Freshwater Shrimp Workshop (5 to 7 Dec 2011)
Between the 5th and 7th of December 2011, the Raffles Museum of Biodiversity Research of the National University of Singapore will be hosting an international workshop on the conservation of freshwater shrimps. The workshop is under the auspices of the IUCN and funded by the EU FP7 BIOFRESH project. The main aim of the workshop is to finalise the Red List assessments of the freshwater shrimps from the Oriental and Australasian regions. Participants are S. De Grave (Oxford University Museum) (co-ordinator), K. Smith (IUCN), D. Wowor (Bogor Museum, LIPI), Y. Cai (National Parks Board, Singapore), W. Klotz (CRUSTA10), T. Page (Griffith’s University), A. Anker (Labomar, UFC), J.-Y. Shy (Penghu University, Taiwan) and S. Ahyong (Australian Museum). They will also be joined by various crustacean colleagues from the Raffles Museum of Biodiversity Research.
