A celebration for the second anniversary of Project Semakau was held in NUS on 13 November 2010 to thank the volunteers for the time and effort they had put in for the project.
The celebration started with a buffet lunch, followed by an exhibition of specimens of animals that can be found on Pulau Semakau.
Prof. Leo Tan, Principal Investigator of Project Semakau, and Director of Special Projects in NUS, gave a very motivating speech on the importance of the volunteers’ participation in Project Semakau, and also shared with the participants on some of his visions for the island.
Active volunteers were also invited to share their experiences participating in the project, followed by a presentation on the progress of the project.
The celebration ended with a prize presentation ceremony to thank the volunteers who had actively contributed to the project.
