Over the past weeks, 20 upper primary students from Qifa Primary School were at RMBR to hone their knowledge about nature and public speaking skills.
Each new guide was partnered with an experienced guide from the previous year to learn more about the featured exhibits in the museum public gallery and how to present this information in an engaging way.
With their newly equipped skills and knowledge, they worked together to present a guided tour of the Raffles Museum gallery to showcase local and regional biodiversity to their primary three schoolmates.
This time, they guided six classes over a period of three days and the junior guides also had to learn how to cooperate to ensure that the tour ran smoothly. Station guiding was a new and challenging experience for the young guides but the questions and interest from their juniors in school kept them going!
