The Dairy Farm Nature Park was officially opened by Mr Mah Bow Tan, Minister for National Development on a sunny Saturday morning on 5 Sep 2009. Graced by who’s who in the local biodiversity scene, the occasion also marked the announcement of an ‘eco-link’ – a bridge that links the Central Catchment Nature Reserve to the long-estranged Bukit Timah Nature Reserve. The park and eco-link are part of the National Biodiversity Strategy and Action Plan, also announced yesterday, which outlines strategies for protecting Singapore’s natural heritage.
