Date: Saturday 14 Feb 2009
Time: 7am – 12pm
Presented by the Pasir Panjang Heritage Guides of the Raffles Museum of Biodiversity Research, NUS in collaboration with the National Archives of Singapore.
Every year we commemorate the Malay Regiment’s defense of the ridge and share with visitors the stories about the Battle of Pasir Panjang as well as thehistory, geography, flora and fauna that first brought us to this ridge.
All are welcome. Interested individuals should be physically fit enough to walk 3km at a moderately quick pace. We will reach the Reflections at Bukit Chandu (RBC), the World War II Interpretative Centre via Kent Ridge Road, The Gap and Kent Ridge Park.
The walk is almost five hours and it can get quite hot so do bring at least 1 litre of water, an umbrella and some sandwiches or snacks. http://tinyurl.com/hnews-bpp2009
