Conservation International Visit


Conservation International visited the RMBR on the 26 August 2008. Dr. Claude Gascon, Executive Vice-President of Programs and Science (Most left); Mr. Niels Crone, Chief Operating Officer (Second from left) and Dr. David W. Hess, Vice-President of Regional Programs Division (Second from right) met up with Prof. Peter Ng and Prof. Richard Corlett.

Conservation International is a non-profit organization based in the US and working in over 50 countries around the world to preserve biodiversity and demonstrate that people can live in harmony with nature.

They were here in Singapore as part of a fact-finding and reconnaissance visit in order to get an idea of approaches, challenges, and strategies for conservation in the greater Asia region. They also discussed about environmental issues and on becoming an effective conservation partner in Singapore and beyond.
