Dr. Daisy Wowor, Research Centre of Biology, LIPI

Dr. Daisy Wowor, a researcher and curator from Puslit Biologi (Research Centre of Biology), LIPI, Indonesia will be in the RMBR from the 4th August to 3rd Sep 2008.

She was invited under the Raffles Museum Fellowship Scheme to work on the freshwater shrimp collection in the ZRC, particularly on Macrobrachium. She is helping to examine and identify the specimens, and will also be working on some freshwater crabs from Indonesia under a joint project.

    As a student interested in Macrobrachium myself, I find this pretty intriguing. Is her work going to be morphological or phylogenetic?
