Mr. Greg Byrnes is a PhD student from University of California, Berkeley. His interests focus on ecological and biomechanical contexts of gliding in mammals. He will be at the museum from 9 June to 19 June 2008 to measure skulls of squirrel specimens in the Zoological Reference Collection. He is also to film the glide paths of flying squirrels and colugos in the Singapore Zoo and Night Safari.
He is the lead author of the accelerometer study in Proceedings of the Royal Society B.
