Mr. Rob Stuebing’s visit

Mr. Rob Stuebing, a herpetologist and a conservation officer in an oil palm plantation accreditation company based in East Kalimantan visited RMBR on the 26 Feb 2008. He had stopped by to discuss future possible collaboration work.

Mr. Rob Stuebing’s main focus is on the herpetofauna of Borneo, particularly snakes and crocodilians. Together with Dr. Bob Inger, they produced the highly-acclaimed series of field guides to the herpetofauna of Borneo: Frogs of Sabah – 1990; A Field Guide to the Frogs of Borneo – 1997 (first edition) / 2004 (second edition); A Field Guide to the Snakes of Borneo – 1999; Panduan Katak-Katak Borneo – 2000. They have also described at least half a dozen new species of amphibians and reptiles from Borneo.
