Dr Shane Ahyong, decapod crustacean taxonomy expert from NIWA

Dr Shane Ahyong is a frequent visitor to the Museum. He was recently here working on Pinnotherids and Stomatopods. He works on decapod crustacean taxonomy with the National Institute of Water and Atmospheric Research (NIWA) in New Zealand and is also Indo-Pacific Governor for The Crustacean Society. Here he discusses the merits of a specimen of Harpiosquilla raphidae (Fabricius) with our crustacean curator, Dr Tan Swee Hee.
