Take action quickly on wild boars
THE National Parks Board (NParks) should not still be seeking suggestions on what to do about the wild boar issue if its prime concern is public safety (“Wild boars: Public safety a prime concern for NParks”; last Saturday).
Several dangerous encounters with wild boars have been reported, and NParks has already determined that the wild boar population has grown exponentially and that they can be found all over the reserves and many parts of the island.
When there are already existing, real threats, what can be more important and urgent than acting promptly for public safety?
