Mr Tan Seng Chye dropped by RMBR for a visit and chat on 18 Mar 2010. A former ambassador for Singapore, Mr Tan is currently a Senior Fellow at the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies, NTU. Mr Tan was spurred to visit RMBR after reading a recent Straits Times article on RMBR’s expedition to Christmas Island as he was born there. Mr Tan reminisced about the old days (1950-60s) with Prof Peter Ng and was shown the collections and pictures from the expedition by Dr Tan Heok Hui.
