Fauna of Vietnam
Stretching along narrow north-eastern edge of mainland Southeast Asia, within tropical & subtropical latitudes, Vietnam is a country known for its varied spectacular natural places. It is also known for its immensely rich biodiversity, harbouring many interesting species. The mammal and bird specimens on display were collected in 1918 & 1920. This temporary exhibit will be on display from April to July 2008.

Dr. Alastair A. Macdonald (Right), together with his Masters student, Clare Guichard, visited RMBR on the 7 April 2008. They are from the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies, The University of Edinburgh, UK. They were here to examine the specimens of Babirusa in the Zoological Reference Collection.
